CyrusOne Planning Austin Data Center Shift

Dallas-based datacenter operator CyrusOne said this week that it has purchased a new, 166,000 square foot facliity in Austin, which will replace its existing Austin 1 space. According to CyrusOne, it has given notice to the owners of its Austin 1 lease that it intends to terminate that lease, with plans to move customers in that facility into the new space. The move plan was disclosed in CyrusOne's quarterly results. The company said it plans to build out 62,000 CSF in the new facility in the second quarter. CyrusOne's current Austin 1 Data Center--on Ben White Blvd--is in the Met Center business park.
