Epicor Plans Spinoff

Austin-based Epicor said Monday that it plans to spin its Retail Solutions Business into a separate, privately held company, backed by private equity investor Apax Partners. According to Epicor, the newly spun off company will be led by Noel Goggin, and will help deliver "increased value" to customers. Epicor said it expects the spinoff to occur in June; the company is being advised by Jeffries Group LLC and Kirkland & Ellis in the deal.
