Harvest Exchange Aims At Investment Research Data With $5M Funding

Houston-based Harvest Exchange said Thursday that it has raised $5M in a Series B funding, which came from Highland Capital Management, along with Third Point and Golden Tree Asset Management, as well as Marketplace Fund I. The startup, led by Pete Hartigan, helps investment firm and research buyers communicate with accredited investors, sharing investment ideas, white papers, and more in a social interface; the company said its offers are SEC/FINRA compliant and allow investment firms and research providers to use content marketing to reach sophisticated, accredited, and qualified investment product buyers.
