OneSpot: Record First Quarter Growth, New Board Members
Privately held software developer OneSpot, which is based in Austin, said today that it saw record, first quarter growth, with its revenues increasing 188 percent year to year. The company did not release dollar amounts or any other financial details. OneSpot, which is led by Steve Sachs, provides software for "content sequencing"--presenting marketing content to consumers based on user history, interests, and predictive modeling--all aimed at better selling and driving engagement with those consumers. The company says its technology is being used to make approximately one trillion content placement predictions per day. In a related move, the company said it has added Rebecca Lieb (Teradata marketing, Altimeter Group), Louis Jones (Maxus North America), and Walker Jacobs (Wikia, Clear Channel Oudoor) to its board. OneSpot is venture backed by Mack Capital, RSL Ventures, Capital Factory and Bazaarvoice co-founder Brett Hurt.
