RideScout Buys GlobeSherpa

Austin-based RideScout said Tuesday that it is acquiring fellow mobile transportation app developer GlobeSherpa, to expand its capabilities in its own mobile app. Financial details of the buy were not disclosed. GlobeSherpa, which was based in Portland, develops mobile payment and ticket purchasing applications for public transit. RideScout said it will continue to operate GlobeSherpa's operations in Portland.
