Securus Technologies Buys Two Companies
Dallas-based Securus Technologies, which provides technology for prisons and other public safety areas, has acquired two companies, the company announced last week. Securus Technologies said it had acquired Cara Clinicals, a provider of electronic medical records systems for prisons and jails, as well as JPay, a provider of payment systems to the corrections area. Financial terms of the two acquisition were not announced. Securus said that it pay all cash for Cara Clinicals, which was based in Woodbury, Minnesota; no details on the deal for JPay, which was based in Miramar, Florida, were announced.
