Securus Buys GovPayNet

Dallas-based Securus Technologies, which provides technology products for the public safety, law enforcement, and corrections market, said on Thursday afternoon it has acquired GovPayNet, a provider of processing of credit and debit card payments to government agencies. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Securus said GovPayNet's services are used by over 2,300 agencies in 35 states.
