GameStop Launches Holiday Layaways Early

Grapevine, Texas-based videogame retailer GameStop said Thursday that it has launched its holiday layaway program, to let its customers reserve and pay for game consoles, other hardware, and more over time. GameStop said the program will run through December 20th, letting users reserve and pay for many of its most popular product through layaway. GameStop said this is the earliest ever that it has run its layaway program. Layaway programs are particularly popular with those who live paycheck-to-paycheck, or otherwise do not have savings or credit.
