Texas Sees Surge In Q3 Investments in 2015, $492.8M Invested Statewide
Texas has seen a surge in venture capital investments in the state, with $492.8M invested in Q3 of 2015, according to the PricewaterhouseCoopers/National Venture Capital Association's MoneyTree report, based on data from Thomson Reuters. The report, which was released last night, found that there were 48 deals totaling $492,806,800 in the state, up both from Q3 of 2014 when there were 41 deals and $295.98M invested and Q2 of 2015, when there were 41 deals totaling $222.0M invested. Texas was a bright spot, nationwide, in a quarter which was down 5 percent in terms of dollars and 11 percent in terms of deals. Nationally, there were $16.3 billion invested across 1,070 deals, according to the report.
