Apptive Acquired By Unbound Commerce

Austin-based Apptive, a developer of software which makes it easier for businesses to launch their own, mobile e-commerce apps, has been acquired by Unbound Commerce. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Unbound Commerce is based in Boston, Mass, and also develops similar tools focused on mobile commerce and payments. Apptive was led by Chris Belew, and had raised around $1M in total funding. Unbound Commerce is apparently moving all of Apptive, and any of its employees who wish to follow, to Boston, as part of the acquisition.
