Xtera Communications Sets Estimated IPO Range

Allen, Texas-based optical networking components developer Xtera Communications said late Monday in a regulatory filing that it now expects its IPO to be between $9.00 and $11.00 per share. The company, led by Jon R. Hopper, is looking to raise around $69.57M on the NASDAQ Global Market, trading as XCOM. Xtera sells its high capacity, optical transport equipment to the telemmunications industry. Xtera had filed for an IPO on October 6th. Xtera is venture backed by ARCH Venture Partners, New Enterprise Associates, Sevin Rosen Funds, VantagePoint Capital Partners, and The Wellcome Trust.
