Dell, EMC Get Nod On Merger From Feds
Round Rock-based Dell and data storage giant EMC said Tuesday that the companies have received clearance from the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, on its proposed merger, after the expiration of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976. According to the companies, the merger remains on schedule under its original timetable and terms. The two announced the $67 billion acquisition deal on October 12th.
