CSIdentity Sold To Experian For $360M
Austin-based CSIdentity, the developer of technology for identity theft protection, has been sold by its private equity backer to Experian for $360M, the companies said Wednesday. CSIdentity was owned by investment management firm Investcorp, and had been founded in 2006. Investcorp said it initially invested in CSID in December of 2009, and since then became a majority owner of the company. Investcorp's initial investment in CSID was $35M, but it's unclear how much, if any, additional funds were invested in the company beyond that initial investment.
