Amazon Opens Fulfillment Center In Houston
Online e-commerce giant Amazon.com said this morning that it has opened up a new, fulfillment center in Texas, located in Houston. The center, its seventh, will add more than 1,000 new full time jobs in Texas, according to Amazon. Amazon says it already has more than 10,000 full time hourly workers across its five, operating Texas fulfillment centers. Amazon says its new, 855,000 square foot fulfillment center will ship smaller items, such as books, electronics, and toys. The company now has centers in Coppell, Haslet, Dallas, Fort Worth, and Schertz, plus one in San Marcos which is under construction.
