Amazon Expands With New Fulfillment Center In Coppell

E-commerce behemoth Amazon.com announced late Wednesday that it is expanding with another fulfillment center in Texas, which will be its ninth. According to the company, the new "Robotics" center will create 1,000-plus full time jobs. The one million-square-foot fulfillment center will focus on smaller customer items, such as books, electronics and toys, according to Amazon. Amazon uses those employees to supplement a robotic, automated pick-and-pack system, which it gained when it acquired robotics developer Kiva back in 2012.
