Dell, EMC Merger Completes, Now The World's Biggest Private Tech Company
Austin-based Dell Technologies announced this morning that it has completed its acquisition of EMC, creating what it says is now the world's largest, private tech company. Dell Technologies said it now has a combined $74 billion in revenues. The acquisition was worth approximately $67 billion, and had been originally announced in October of 2015. The new, combined company will be headquartered in Austin. In addition to EMC, Dell Technologies also owns the separate Boomi, Pivotal, RSA, SecureWorks, Virtustream and VMware units of the two companies.
