FloSports Powers Varsity.tv

Austin-based FloSports, which provides subcription-based sports content and video, said on Tuesday that it will power a new website for cheerleading and dance competition organizer Varsity Spirit, called Varsity.tv. Financial details of the deal were not announced. The two said that the website will offer up live coverage of Varsity Spirit cheer and dance competitions, original documentaries, breaking news and other content. FloSports, which is led by Martin Floreani, is venture backed by DCM Ventures and Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments, and raised a $21.2M, Series B funding in August.
