8minuteenergy Expands Into Texas
8minuteenergy Renewables, a utility-scale, solar power developer, said it has expanded into Texas, from its basedin California, where the company says it has nearly 15 percent of the market share for utility sale solar. According to 8minuteenergy, it has opened up an office in Houston, and hopes to target 2 gigawatts of utility-scale, solar photoltaic (PV) projects in Texas. 8minutenergy is led by Martin Hermann, and says is has more than 5,000 MW in its current North America project pipeline. The company's largest project is the 800 MW Mount Signal farm in California.
