Vivint Solar Expands Into Texas, Starting In Austin

Residential solar power installer Vivint Solar announced this morning that it has opened up operations in Austin, as part of an expansion into Texas. The company said that Texas will be the 14th state for the company, which provides both residential solar power installation and financing to homeowners. Vivint also serves Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and its headquarters state, Utah. The company cited the energy usage in Texas, plus the growth of solar capacity in the state as some of the reasons for its expansion into Texas.
