Teladoc Claims Milestone

Lewisville, Texas-based telehealth provider Teladoc, which operates a service which lets consumers access healthcare providers via the Internet, said Friday that it has reached a milestone of two million telehealth visits. The company said the milestone saved more than $900 million to its clients. Teladoc's remote healthcare service is provided by employers to their employees, reducing the need for in-person visits to hospitals and doctor's offices--and specifically, expensive emergency rooms.
