Teladoc Teams With Accolade

Lewisville, Texas-based telehealth provider Teladoc, and on-demand, healthcare concierge firm Accolade said this morning that the two are in a new alliance, where they will work together to help members with their health care benefit options and telehealth. Financial details of the alliance were not announced. According to the companies, they already have been working together on shared clients, which they said has proven to "significantly increase" use of Teladoc. Use of Teladoc's services typically ends up costing employers and insurers a lot less than in-person doctor's visits, and particularly emergency room (ER) visits. The two said the integration with Accolade includes links from the Accolade Health Assistant, mobile applications, provider search tools, and various portals.
