SailPoint Secures Patent
Austin-based SailPoint has received a new patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, covering the company's method of resetting passwords for users who are locked out of a corporate network. According to the USPTO, the patent, number 9,600,656, was granted to Nicholas Ryan Wellinghoff, and was issued on March 21st. SailPoint was represented by Sprinkle IP Law Group in the patent filing. SailPoint said the company's password reset method allows users to reset their local and domain password remotely, without having to involve IT staff. The company applied for the patent on March 9 of 2016.
