Comcast Sued By Houston ISP Over Cut Cables
Telecom Cable, a Weston Lakes, Texas-based internet service provider (ISP), has sued Comcast, claiming that Comcast had a contractor dig up its underground cables, in revenge for spurring the cable company's buyout offer. According to a lawsuit filed by Telecom Cable, filed in the Harris County District Court, Comcast and its contractors, Aspen Utility Company, LLC and A&A Cable Contractors, Inc., systematically cut its telecom lines and drove off its customers, which resulted in the shutdown of Telecom Cable. Telecom Cable and its owners allege that, starting in June of 2015, Comcast systematically destroyed its cables, destroying the company's business in only six weeks.
