NRG Stadium Selects Comcast For Wi-Fi Upgrade
Houston's NRG Stadium has selected Comcast Business to provide free Wi-Fi for the stadium, the two said this morning, with an upgrade to support higher speeds in the venue. According to Comcast, it has connected a 10 gigabit-per-second (10 Gbps) Ethernet Dedicated Line from the service to an existing, local area network at the stadium, which will help boost access speeds from the location. Comcast also said it has installed a new Comcast-branded, large screen display within the stadium to project other games, concerts, and event info to fans. Financial impact of the deal was not announced, however, the two said that no taxpayer dollars were used.
