Hurricane Electric Adds PoP In Houston
Hurricane Electric, which operates an IPv6 Internet backbone, says it is opening up a second, Point-of-Presence (PoP) in Houston, to help serve the booming Texas technology sector. The company said the new PoP is at the Netrality Data Center located at 1301 Fannin Street in Houston, the second PoP in Houston and the fourth for the company in Texas. Hurricane Electric cited the city's role as a "growing technological center within the United States", plus demand from customers, for the addition of the second PoP, which helps link companies and data centers directly into the Internet backbone.
