Accenture Launches Apprenticeship Program In San Antonio
Accenture Federal Services, the federal services arm of consulting provider Accenture, said it has launched a new effort in San Antonio, which will provide up to 50 paid apprenticeships for students and adults. Accenture said the new effort, which it is running in partnership with the City of San Antonio and Bexar County, Texas, will offer up those apprenticeships to students and adults from the Eastside Education and Training Center, Sam Houston High School, and St. Philips College. Accenture said the effort will go to help support the growth and development of the technology workforce of the future. Accenture said the Eastside Promise Zone is a 22-square-mile area in San Antonio with a population of 80,000, which has a 31 percent poverty rate.
