AlertMedia Adds $8M For Emergency Notification Software

Austin-based mass communications and emergency alerts software developer AlertMedia has raised $8M in a Series B funding, the company said today, bringing the company's total raised to over $17M. AlertMedia said the funding was led by Next Coast Ventures, and also included ATX Seed Ventures. AlertMedia pointed to the news of "emergency after emergency" recently making it a necessity for corporations to have their own, emergency and business notification systems in place. AlertMedia's CEO is Brian Cruver. The company said the new funds will go to expand its product offering, and to help grow its sales and customer success teams.
