Ranger Health Gets $10M For Healthcare Services
San Antonio-based Ranger Health, a healthcare services startup which provides access to house calls for healthcare appointments, at either a patient's home or workplace--and helps organizations better manage their health costs--has raised $10M in a funding round, the company disclosed this week. The Series A funding included HOLT Ventures. Ranger Healthcare offers up mobile urgent care at homes and offices for employees--which helps reduce the high costs of urgent and emergency room visits to employers--and also offers up services to employers by aggregating companies for collective buying of service with local hospitals. The company also helps connect employees with local healthcare providers. Ranger Health's CEO is Michael Zucker, who was most recently Chief Strategy Officer of Tenet Healthcare's South Texas region.
