TPG's RCN/Grande Closes Wave Broadband Acquisition

RCN/Grand, the broadband services company owned by Fort Worth-based private equity investor TPG Capital, has completed its acquisition of Kirkland, Washington-based broadband services provider Wave Broadband, the companies said this morning. TPG agreed to combine RCN/Grande and Wave Broadband back in May of 2017, in a deal which is worth approximately $2.365 billion. According to RCN/Grande, Wave will continue to operate as its own branded entity, at its existing headquarters location in Washington. The rollup by TPG will create the sixth largest cable company in the nation.
