Visual Numerics Acquired By Rogue Wave Software

Houston-based Visual Numerics, a developer of data analytics and visualization software, has been acquired by Rogue Wave Software. Rogue Wave did not disclose financial details of the buy. Visual Numerics develops IMSL Numerical Libraries, a software package for mathematical and statistical analysis, and PV-WAVE, which is used for visual data analysis. Rogue Wave did not detail the impact on Visual Numerics employees or local presence. Rogue Wave is based in Boulder, Colorado, and backed by venture capital firm Battery Ventures.
