MyFitnessPal Information Put Up For Sale By Hackers, Millions Of Hacked Accounts

Millions of account records and personal details of users of MyFitnessPal, which was developed in Austin, have shown up for sale on the "dark web", according to a report on Thursday. The report, from The Register, says that hackers say the have account information on 151 million people from MyFitnessPal, which is part of a total of 617 million online account details from other sites such as Dubsmash, MyHeritage, ShareThis, HauteLook, Animoto, and many others. It's likely the account records being touted by the hackers for sale are the same records MyFitnessPal reported being compromised in a breach back in March of 2018.
