WP Engine Launches New Plugin Manager

Austin-based WP Engine, which provides managed WordPress hosting services, is looking to help its users better keep their installations secure, with a new product. According to WordPress, its new Smart PlugIn Manager keeps sites secure by automatically updating WordPress plugins. The company said the new product helps site managers by updating plugins from both the WordPress Repo and private plugin repos with automated verification. WP Engine said the new Smart Plugin Manager will start at $10 per month, and will roll out in the third quarter; the software is currently in an open beta.
