WP Engine Acquires Flywheel

Austin-based WP Engine said on Monday that it has acquired Flywheel, an Omaha, Nebraska-based WordPress hosting and management company. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Flywheel was founded by Dusty Davidson, Tony Noecker and Rick Knudtson in 2012. Flywheel has more than 200 employees. WP Engine says the acquisition will take it to nearly 900 employees, spread across seven offices.
