Trend Micro Buys Broadweb

Security software developer Trend Micro, which recently opened up its global operations center in Dallas, said Thursday that it has acquired Taiwanese security products developer Broadweb. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. Broadweb's products provides deep packet inspection and real-time blocking of malicious packets in a network. According to Trend Micro, it will use the acquisition to bolster its Custom Defense Solution.
