AT&T Buys Plusmo

Dallas-based telecom carrier AT&T announced today that it has acquired a Silicon Valley developer of mobile applications and widgets, Plusmo. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Plusmo's software helps developers build mobile software for various mobile phones. Plusmo becomes part of AT&T Interactive, and according to AT&T will be used as the mobile application develompent platform for a number of its subsidiaries. Plusmo was venture backed by New Enterprise Asssociates and HRJ Capital, as well as angels.
