BMC Buys Mainframe Security Software Firm

Houston-based BMC Software announced this morning that it has acquired a provider of mainframe security and management software, I/O Concepts. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. I/O Concepts provides mainframe console security, automation and consolidation software. BMC said the acquisition will expand its MainView monitoring and automation suite.
