PulseConnect Becomes PostUp, Snags Baer

Austin-based email marketing software developer PulseCOnnect said Thursday that it has rebranded itself as Postup, and also snagged original founder--and well known technology figure Joshua Baer--to its board. According to the company, the rebranding comes as a result of the acquisition of the company in January by Transition Capital Partners and Petra Capital Partners. Joshua Baer--who now leads the Capital Factory startup accelerator--founded PulseConnect way back in 1996, when it was first known as Skylist. PostUp says its customer list now includes such companies as ABC Mouse, HBO, NBC-Comcast, Sony, Turner, and Univision.
