Austin's Joshua Baer Backs Email Newsletter Publisher

Austin entrepreneur and angel Joshua Baer is one of the investors in a Silicon Valley, email newsletter publisher. According to San Francisco-based NextDigest, a publisher of vertical, technology focused email newsletters, it has raised $390,000, in a combination of $190,000 in angel funding plus $200,000 from the Kauffman Foundation. Angel investors included Baer, along with 500Startups, Charles Hudson, Tim Trampedach, Marco Magnocavallo, and Ron Gutman. Baer is one of the co-founders of the Capital Factory accelerator, and also heads up startup OtherInBox. Baer also made his fortune in the email newsletter and marketing area, having started email marketer SKYLIST out of his dorm room. More information »
