Texas Sees $277.6M In VC Deals In Q1

Texas saw $227.6M in venture capital deals, according to the latest PricewaterhouseCoopers / National Venture Capital Association Moneytree report, which was released Tuesday. The report, which tracks U.S. venture capital activity, found that there was $7.1 billion dollars in investments in the U.S. for the quarter, the highest quarterly level in five years. The most active investment sectors for the quarter was Life Sciences, with Biotechnology ranking as the number one industry for investing, and Medical Devices at an all-time high.
