Cooper Industries Gains MadahCom for $43M
Electronics manufacturer Cooper Industries Ltd. has acquired MadahCom Inc. for $43 million, Cooper announced Tuesday. Specific terms of the deal beyond the selling price were not disclosed. MadahCom is a Florida-based manufacturer of wireless alarm systems. The formerly privately held company boasted sales of $22 million for 2006, and currently has more than 200 installations worldwide. It’s flagship products are WAVES, the Wireless Audio Visual Emergency System, and TACWAVES, or Tactical WAVES. Cooper said MadahCom will become part of Cooper Wheelock’s Notification Systems business. Incorporated in Bermuda but headquartered in Houston, Texas, Cooper Industries reported gross revenues of $5.2 billion for 2006.
