Alereon Opens R&D Facility in India
Wireless USB chipset manufacturer Alereon Inc. has extended its operations to India, the company reported Monday. Operating under the name of Alereon Semiconductors Pvt. Ltd., Alereon has opened a new research and development facility in Pune, India. The company said its new operation was necessary to meet demand for its certified USB solutions. The R&D center’s focus will be to develop Alereon’s patented ultrawideband wireless media chipsets. Alereon is headquartered in Austin, Texas.
