Alereon Gets IOGEAR Design Win
Austin-based Alereon, a developer of wireless USB and other ultra-wideband semiconductors, announced Monday that the firm's products are being deployed in a new product from IOGEAR. Alereon said that IOGEAR's Wireless USB Hub and Adapter Kit is being powered by the firm's AL5000 chipsets, used for implementing wireless USB. Details on volumes or financials of the win were not discussed by Alereon. IOGEAR's wiress USB Hub is used to connect printers, scanners, and other external hardware products to PCs.
