Convio Signs American Cancer Society

Convio, a publisher of fund-raising software for non-profit organizations, revealed Thursday that the American Cancer Society has adopted Convio's online, on-demand fund-raising platform to support the society's "Relay for Life" fund-raiser. The American Cancer Society's fundraiser had more than 3 million participants in the 2007 Relay for Life, including more than 500,000 cancer survivors. For future relays, Convio said the society will deploy the Austin, Texas-based company’s TeamRaiser platform to enable volunteers to create and maintain their own fund-raising Web sites, communicate with members, post photos, publish progress reports and manage secure online and offline donations.
