Authentix Acquired By Private Equity Firms

Addison, Texas-based Authentix, which develops technology used to track pharmaceuticals, currency, agrochemicals, and other products, based on nanotechnology and chemical markers, has been acquired by private equity firms The Carlyle Group and J.H. Whitney & Co., along with a group of existing investors that includes The Manti Group and the firm's management team. Financial terms of the acquisition was not disclosed. According to The Carlyle Group, the transaction closed on April 18th. Authentix was advised by MHT Securities in the acquisition.
