Interphase Touts Partnership with French Publisher

Interphase, a Plano, Texas-based manufacturer of embedded networking hardware, revealed Tuesday that it has formed a strategic partnership with French embedded networking software publisher 6WIND. Interphase said it will bundle 6WIND's 6WINDGate software suites with its packet accelerator cards, adding that it will also jointly develop three extensions to the 6WINDGate software suites: SIP, SIP to RTP and GTP-U. The collaboration, Interphase explained, should result in a decrease in time-to-market for the development of next-generation, IP-based networks. A spinout of Thales, 6WIND is headquartered near Paris and maintains a research and development center in Beijing, China, and sales offices throughout Asia.
