Venture Capital Firm Bolsters Texas Presence
El Dorado Ventures, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm said Thursday that it has hired on a new general partner with a specific focus on Texas investments. El Dorado said that it has hired on Jeff Hinck as a General Partner, to specifically increase its presence in both Texas and Minnesota. Hinck will maintain offices in Dallas, in addition to Minneapolis. Hinck is the second person at El Dorado to focus on Texas investments; the firm also has venture partner Mark Floyd in Dallas. Hinck joins the firm from Vesbridge Ventures. Hinck is not a stranger to Texas: he was a co-investor with El Dorado Ventures in Convio, Ripcode, and Storspeed, among other companies. Hinck has previously served at Crescendo Ventures, IAI Ventures, Sistina Software, McKinsey & Co., and Harvard Law School. More information »
