Mirage Networks Ships Ruggidized NAC
Austin-based Mirage Networks said Wednesday that it has shipped a ruggedized version of the firm's Network Access Control (NAC) appliance. According to Mirage, the appliance is designed for environments where standard equipment cannot be deployed, and handles temperature extremes, vibration, and airborne contaminants. Mirage said that among customers of the new hardware is the New York City Transit system. The new hardware meets MIL-STD-810F standards.
