Mirage Gets Win At Power Supplier
Mirage Networks, a manufacturer of network security devices, revealed Wednesday that a wholesale electric power provider is using Mirage's Network Access Control device to safeguard its network. The device, Mirage explained, protects networks from external threats by controlling network access, monitoring network behavior and isolating non-compliant endpoints. Mirage said the Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, which serves a 250,000-square-mile region across Colorado, Nebraska, New Mexico and Wyoming, selected Mirage's NAC device because it was concerned that worms, viruses and other external threats could infiltrate its network. Mirage Networks is headquartered in Austin, Texas.
