Mirage Networks Gets University Win
Austin-based Mirage Networks Inc., a publisher of network-access control software applications, revealed Monday that a major Texas university has chosen Mirage to safeguard its residential network. Mirage said Texas State University, a public, four-year college located in San Marcos and boasting more than 29,000 students, will use Mirage's NAC solution to register devices and manage traffic. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. Mirage said the move should help the university decrease its help desk workload and provide remediation for noncompliant devices. Mirage added that Texas State plans to extend the deployment to its entire campus by next year. Mirage's NAC software is used to control access to corporate and other networks.
