Fujitsu Expands In Richardson
Fujitsu Network Communications said Friday that the firm is expanding manufacturing capacity at the firm's Richardson headquarters. According to Fujitsu, it will add 67 new professional and production jobs in the North Texas location. Fujitsu Network Communications develops broadband and fiber access products for the communications industry. According to Fujitsu, the move comes as it transfers manufacturing of its optical and electronic assemblies for a number of products from Japan, along with moving manufacturing of broadband and fiber access products from Europe into the location. The firm said it is currently the eighth-largest employer in Richardson, employing 1,500 employees on a 143 acre campus.
